This is a very rough draft, if anyone sees it. I copied it from another site and it really needs a lot of editing now. I'm just copying and importing raw data now. I'll refine it later, and probably always refine these entries to some extent.
Title: January 3, 2011. I sent George Kajos Joni Mitchell's (2007) CD, "Shine", as a gift.
Just a little bit of context:
Don Dewar knows me better than anyone else does right now for sure. I used to talk to him on the phone a lot, and exchange Email since we worked together at VideoServer. Don was my manager there for 3 years, and he was also the Video Architect for the MCS portion of "Encounter": the industry’s first complete product line of H.323 Internet conferencing products. George was the director of the group. One of my manager's at AOL said in my interview about this on my resume, and having Don and George as my references. "Wow. That was videoconferencing before it's time". I said, yeah - they seem to like to be on the "cutting edge" . I worked at AOL at the old Columbus Campus for 4 months in 2005, when they were the largest ISP in the world. One point I'm making here, is that people sure notice this on my resume, and that I have them as references.
Since Don's lived in China (Mostly Beijing) since 2008, I've talked to him twice on the phone, left him a lot of voice mail messages. And we've exchanged quite a bit of Email. He's been very busy, but I can still get responses from him via Facebook now. That's fine. I know he's quite busy - Cisco recently acquired is latest telecomm startup (bnivideo.com)
I just talked to George Kajos on 12-21-2011 for 4 minutes. (He took time out of a design meeting at Motorola, just to talk to me) I hadn't talked to him since 2007. I said - "You know how much I care. I'm still searching for a linguistic standard to express empathy." And he said "Yes. We've had SO many parallels in our lives. I've always wanted the best for you", and some other things. Then I felt much better.

About the gift...
I've been listening to Joni Mitchell's "Shine" (Released in 2007) a lot lately. I'm very thoughtful lately, and I did think a lot about this, because I try to be sensitive to others, especially people who are this important to me. Today I sent the CD "Shine" to George as a gift, using one of my favorite online sites where I buy things like this. It's also one of the best, most secure and established sites on the web.
I had it gift wrapped.
The gift note text is below. It had to be 240 characters or less, so I'll explain it a bit:
I think it's often useful or necessary to read a good copy of song lyrics to just hear all the correct words, and it's helpful to understand the songs quickly. Her web site is excellent and has all the lyrics and a lot more, and it's legitimate - it's the artist's site (There are a lot of sites on the web that aren't). So, I thought I'd remind him of this.
Here is the gift note text.
"to g from f. Thank you. I just needed a little resolution. See jonimitchell.com for the words. It's poignant, beautiful & iconoclastic. Listen to it when you can, but for now: Just Shine"

The inside of the CD cover has this lyric fragment from song 3. It sums up the major theme of the CD.
